Minimising business disruption during fit out works
Minimising business disruption is a main concern for most of our customers and we have developed the right mix of experience and established procedures to seamlessly work alongside most operational activities.
Planning for minimising business disruption is the key to a successful fit-out project. Phasing of works, restricted hours for construction activities and deliveries, minimising working areas space and restrictions on parking, are all common practice in many of our commercial fit out projects.
Our project managers make certain that each activity and trade is mobilised at exactly the right time to ensure the completion date is achieved with equal emphasis on the quality of the installation. We understand that many such installations need to be fast-tracked to allow customers to move in and begin trading to a pre-determined timescale. One of the recent projects for Aleron Contractors was a project involving construction of extensions, interior refurbishment and fit-out to a fully operational children nursery near Milton Keynes. A project with a budget close to £300k, our building activities had to be designed to minimise business disruption to the nursery with over 100 children in attendance daily.
Complete physical segregation of works from the client (curious children!), zero tolerance to dust which may cause issues for asthmatic kids, regulated timings for bulky deliveries to avoid clashing with parents using the car park, limited parking and storage, constant maintenance of operating washroom facilities, fresh and hot water, space heating and uninterrupted electrical supply – this is only a selection of key challenges our company faced during fit out and building activities. But above all was the need to minimise construction noise with providing totally quiet time between 12pm – 2pm allowing children to sleep.
